Tannins are fine but mouthcoating, giving the structure, this isn't a light wine, but it's supremely elegant and excellently textured. Château Gruaud-Larose 2020 is a bold and beautifully layered Grand Cru Classé from the historic heart of the Saint-Julien appellation on Bordeaux’s Left Bank. Classified as a Second Growth in 1855, Gruaud-Larose is known for its consistent craftsmanship and powerful wines that age gracefully. The 2020 vintage—defined by a hot, dry growing season with perfectly timed rains—delivered grapes of optimal ripeness and balance. This wine is predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon, with Merlot and smaller portions of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot rounding out the blend.

On the nose, the wine exudes aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry, and dark cherry, wrapped in notes of tobacco leaf, cedar, graphite, and warm spice.
